Before this thread dissapears I wanted to make a recomendation. First I did want
to note that you are playing against some tactical monster programs and all of
them are out-calculating you. I also wanted to note that if your rated around
1800 then you're a better Chess player than me.

What I wanted to recommend is that you set up a Chess board next to your
computer and play the game on that, and not the computer screen. Transfer the
program's moves to the Chess set. And consider your program to be a strong
opponent. I find it very easy to overlook things in a game while looking at the
screen, but transfering the moves to a real 3 dimensional board is more
realistic for me. You might find that you can see the game more clearly that
way. I have a table 15" high right next to my computer for that purpose.
