My feeling is that Crafty does the best job annotating games. And to interface
Crafty you'll need Winboard. As far as upgrades go, you can download a new
version about once a month. As far as Databases go, you can download the them as
pgn files at Pittsburg Chess archives.

I have a low opinion of CM programs, they're strong, but over rated.

Crafty has many features, ands it's acknowlaged as being one of the stronger
programs by many. It's too good a download to ignore. If you install Winboard it
can open a whole new world of Chess programs to you. You could try Winboard
engines all day long and not run out of them for some time.
