I had a similar situation arise ( with different results) yesterday on ICC.
I had noticed this particular handle had gotten a couple of draws in 15 5
games previously so I decided to take a closer look. This fellow had a 1400
bullet, 1700 blitz and over 2400 in standard. This got me suspicious and after
my program's second loss in a row I struck up a conversation and asked him
about the disparity in his ratings and what his USCF or FIDE rating was. He
said 2260. When I responded USCF or FIDE? He said he had been inactive for 6
years and was terrible at blitz. After another exchange he said he was 19 years
old and asked me if I was a GM and why I didn't challenge Kasparov for the
 world title. :,)
