Go up one level in this thread

I use Nimzo '99 some time now and I notice there's a definite and remarkable
difference in engine-engine games with Fritz and Hiarcs between blitz and STC.
I've tested only on one computer - own books all - ponder on or off - doesn't
matter though - and hash between 16 and 64 Meg - everyone gets the same share.

Results in blitz games are lousy for Nimzo; about one of every 6 to 8 games goes
to Nimzo, the rest to fritz, Junior or Hiarcs. That is from 3,0 to 15,0
There rating difference is from 150 to 200 Elo points.

When playing 40/120 games Nimzo become surprisingly stronger: about every two to
three games is a win for Nimzo '99. Especially against Hiarcs 7.32 the rise in
strenght is remarkable. The rating difference is only 50 points plus or minus.

At STC the most difficult opponent is Fritz. At Blitz it is Hiarcs.

Unfortinately I lost quite some games - I unpacked a .cbv file which I a gave
another name - but when it unpacked the result was an overwrite of existing cb*.
files so I can't show you any games.
Too bad.

Recently I posted a couple of Nimzo STC games here.
