Easy question... that is my quad P6/200 machine. It is running crafty as a
"nice" process, and students use it off and on for their projects in a parallel
programming course I am finishing up. It is very possible that for one/two
moves it gets almost no cpu time, although this doesn't happen more than once
or twice in a game typically. But it can be a killer. I'll look up the log
files if they are still there to see... but they generally get cleaned out
every day or so...
My quad xeon runs the same way, although it gets less usage. But I do build a
lot of kernels and do other things while 'crafty' is running on ICC. So it can
also get into trouble at times, although late at night I am never doing anything
(say 12am-8am CDT)
