First, what he asked for was _not_ illegal.  He didn't ask anyone to give him
a free copy, nor to make a copy that would not have copy protection so it could
be distributed.  He only asked for someone to modify the executable so that it
will run as an engine on a chess server.

I think you'd have a _very_ difficult time trying to prove that Mindscape was
damaged in any way by doing this, or asking for this to be done...  and if they
aren't damaged, they aren't going to be able to stop it...

I only see it as a 'editorial' comment that laments the fact that most
commercial programs can't interface to ICC automatically, when everyone is
having a fit to get such programs on the servers...
