Crafty plays anybody/anything... but it requires that you be reasonably close to its rating (within 400 points) and that your rating be _established_ which is an ICC recommendation. Because otherwise when it is rated at 3000, you could play it 20 games, lose them all, and _still_ end up rated 2600 which screws up the rating pool a bit (inflation). If you want to play unrated, let me know. Or after you become established, feel free to play...
