If the EXE used some defined protocol that you could access externally, you
could write a DLL that acted as a mediator between the Fritz thing and the EXE.

This wouldn't involve any changes the the EXE.  I don't know if CM6K uses any
protocols you could access from outside.

Some engines do, they allow you to pass a command line argument that will tell
them what test suite to run and for how long, and this could be used, if need
be, although there would be some problems like detecting 3x repetition.
