Jason is the 'keeper' of the bench.c code, and he made some changes.  One of
the changes was (IMHO) bad, in that the search_depth value chosen is too big
for reasonable hardware.  Even my quad xeon takes a long time to run this
bench command.  We'll get it straightened out...
