I can only speak for Chess Master (4K, 5K, 6K). I enjoy playing the personalities. They seem more reliable (consistent) than ratings I find when I play people (I have never played anyone over USCF 2300, so that level may be more consistent). They seem to play the way described and with in 50 points of the advertised rating, in my opinion. It would be interesting to compare LCTII tests using the personalities to see how they fair. I tried a couple of the "Rate your Play" from USCF and they seemed to be in the range (+- 50 points).
