Is there a buttom or something I must press to tell it to allow me >to move? > No sure what you mean. In the practice session you are allowed to move pieces and sometimes when you reach a point where the AI thinks that you don't have the knowledge to finish the puzzle it will finish off the puzzle, other times, especially dealing with mates, the AI will expect the user to complete the whole puzzle. There's nothing you can do to change that. >Also, during a session, I will make a move and then suddenly, the animator will >come on and finish the combination. This is bogus. How do I prevent this? > No... This happens when you enter a move which is not the best solution, and the AI assumes that you don't have clue of what the solution is so it tries to give a hint by displaying the mofit you are supposed to use to solve the puzzle. >Any other things I should know? Now that you asked, yes, there's one thing you should know, sometimes the solution provided is not necessary the best solution, I found one cook in the practice session. Some of the puzzles have more than one solution, but because it is not part of the exercise, it is not considered. It makes me wonder if GM Boch missed this in his analysis. > >Thanks, > >KarinsDad :)
