How about splitting your book into 2, a book for white and a book for black that way either the memory requirement would be less or the disk access could be quicker (depending on access method) or more likely to be in cache again depending on access method. When I create large books for Rebel I create a white book and a black book this speeds up access when I am playing. Shaun
