I wasn't concluding Karpov was 'best' based on results vs crafty, as he has done
no better than anyone else, and in fact, perhaps a bit worse than some as he
didn't delve into any anti-computer stuff at all, just quiet openings.

My 'opinion' is based on comments by several GM players in conversations I have
had on ICC. He is very good tactically, and has played enough to have a very
good instantaneous 'feel' for what to do... Both of these make him very
dangerous.
