Perhaps many of us have implemented (tried) different selective search ideas in our programs... It would be nice to hear your experiences. What works? What didn't? (I have tried many things that didn't. :-) If some ideas feel too silly to be posted here, you can send them via E-mail to me. I won't laugh. Jari Currently I try searching only interesting lines to current searchdepth. I added a parameter, which tells if there have been any captures or forced lines, and only these are searched to the end. (Forced means that either side has only a few legal moves in some node.)
