Since you did not have a crafty.rc file, Could you provide the following information: What type of computer are you using? What is the operating system? What book did you create/use? Did you set the book on? Did you set the book width? What were the hash and hashp settings? What were the time controls? Did you use any endgame tablebases? Was pondering set to on?
