I recently joined the SETI at Home group. They have written a program that allows thousands of home computers all over the world to analyze downloaded data in their search for extraterestrial life. All these machines working in parallel together have contributed 60,000 years of analysis time. Could a similar program be written for chess analysis. Would 10,000 computers working on a best next move provide a definitive answer as to what's best?
