Its no faster than x86 in integer peformance, and only 21% faster at floating point math. The floating point speed comes from shorter pipelines and shorter pipelines mean slower clock speed. As for velocity engine gains, that kind of instruction set is almost impossible to use on programs having to handle dynamic data. But onFFT et dyl it is another kind of animal, but there EPIC architectures seem to be the best match. Regards Dan Andersson
