I can think of three "real" upgrades:
 - WinBoard or Auto232 interface.
 - Analyze mode: The engine starts analyzing the upcoming position
   whatever I do on the board.
 - NT compability

A few more extras:
 - EGTB's would probably make the program a bit stronger.
 - Better handling of EPD and FEN, like copy/paste.

I don't know if any of these upgrades will be in CM7000 but I would like them to
be!

In addition to this there is a long list of possible functional changes and
improvements that I wouldn't really pay mcuh for...
