On my slow PC (P200, not MMX), using Rebel 10 for ECTool, I recollect that b3
was recommended instead of Rg4. I was shocked when Rg4 was played by Rebel
10-5, and commented about its strangeness on ICC where I was viewing the game.

There were more moves in the Rebel 10-5 vs Hoffman game than just Rg4 that
seemed to be played 'too fast' and were 'too poor' compared to other available
moves (suggested by my Rebel/PC combo).

I wondered if the clock-use algorithm was broken, when Rebel played some of the
moves too quickly and poorly.

SUGGESTION--1) fix the Rebel 10-5 software/hardware combination; 2) request a
rematch from Alejandro Hoffman, either for a specific day/time, or as an
'on-call' alternative in case another arranged match gets cancelled or postponed
for some reason.

In this way, Rebel might get another chance at the worthy opponent, Alejandro
Hoffman (what a great player!--I've seen him play in both Los Angeles and Las
Vegas tournaments), without excuses about Rebel performance that take away from
Alejandro's great play, and we can all see what a 'healthy' Rebel/PC combo can
do.

I enjoyed the drama of the Rohde rematch, by the way, after the software was
improved and the challenge was accepted to play again. Rematches are exciting
and I would be very excited about the prospect of a rematch with Alejandro.
