hello jean if you are fairly new to chess do not buy books on openings until you
learn the best place for your pieces,such as rooks on open or half open
files,knights developt generally before bishops etc.there are lots of simple
rules to learn which will improve your game immediately,consentrate on why a
move is good or bad.the best book is without a doubt logical chess by irving
chernev and it has been reprinted.if you want to understand chess quickly this
is a must.
