It may not be unreasonable to ask but it surely is unreasonable to expect they will follow this "request". I didn't count how many times I told people to use whisper instead of kibitz and to read help files. But the ICC admins obviously don't think this is a big problem.. (although the helppage clearly states that kibitzing is considered rude, unless both players have told you it's ok. People download something from the net, don't read help-files and then complain in the wrong newsgroup that something doesn't work. Here it's similar. That's the way it is. It should be easy for the ICC programmers to *enforce* the rule: i.e. disable kibitzes until both players explicitely enabled it thru some command. What I'm doing now is to just ignore such people or "set kib 2" if it gets too noisy. (esp. when Fischer comments show up - prolly after move 5, right after the first "1-0" kibitz.) cu, -sargon
