Kasparov vs the World is heading towards a K Q P P K Q P
endgame (white: 1 queen, 1 pawn; black: 1 queen, 2 pawns)
I have downloaded the K Q P K Q and K Q Q K Q 5-man
tablebases & all the 4 man ones.
Are these the two most useful 5 man ones by a long way for this game,
or should I be getting more?
As I see it (please correct me if I'm wrong)
we can go to the 2 5-man endings above, plus
K P P K Q - usually easy win for Q - Black's pawns are not advanced
K P P K P - will go back to K Q P K Q / K Q Q K Q very fast
K Q P K P - usually easy win for Q & P.
For people, especially, who have looked at the game,
do you think any of the three above are especially
useful, is my reasoning wrong?
Also, I assume K Q {N, B, R} K Q is pretty useless here
as it is only used in the generation of K Q P Q P -
and we only need to avoid lost positions?
Thanks for any help
Richard
