No, no, not commercial.  It will be for free (although copyright protected),
so it is not public domain.  It is a spare time project, not a "product".

Regarding features: citing from its README:

   The main purpose is to solve non-trivial orthodox mate problems.
   Selfmate and helpmate have been incorporated, also, but they
   are not considered important.  Fairy pieces, conditions and
   stipulations are neither included, nor will they ever fit the
   structure of the program.

There is no graphical UI.  Developed under UNIX.  ANSI-C.  Porting
to NT seems to be no major problem (thanks to Dann Corbit).
Just plain ASCII in and out.  EPD in/out will be an option.
