I'm only in charge of writting the best engine I can, so I cannot tell exactly
what will be the changes in the user interface.
I hope that the new GUI will be to the taste of everybody. Personnally I liked
it very much from the start, much more than Fritz or ChessMaster's interface.
I'm sorry, it's just the truth, not a commercial blah blah. I didn't even now it
was going to be the interface for my engine.
What I liked is the fact that it is fully compliant to the Windows design rules.
That's what annoyed me with Fritz and CM: as Windows programs, they don't react
the way you expect.
It's just a matter of taste, I know. I suppose there is no "best" way to create
an interface that can be pleasant to everybody. I just hope that the new
ChessPartner interface gets a better acceptance amongst computer chess
enthusiasts. I think it does not deserve less than the other GUIs around, and
that it will host two very hot chess engines that no computer chess addict want
to miss: the well known and further improved Rebel, and the very first
commercial release of Chess Tiger.
