Also, just doing a simple search for computer chess programming in a search
engine such as metacrawler.com or dogpile.com will provide you with a plethora
of resources.

For your out-of-print book, there are many used chess books sites out there.
Try http://www.chessking.com/stores.htm  for a starter.  This has some used book
"stores" listed.
