To play the most >difficult level, you are going to have to beat all of the personalities on the >rated games until you get up to the chessmaster, and then you will have your >most difficult opponent:) well who is to say cm6000 is not as strong as deep blue ,the only problem is hardware .hardware is not to be underestimated .i once played 5 games between the mach IV 68020 20 mhz vs a 4 mhz pc running cm2100 .mach IV won 5 to 0 even at queen odds .i could not beleive it .but on a 300 mhz pc cm2100 wins straight up even odds .now that is a huge elo gain ,every bit hardware .i mean if you could find a way to speed cm6000 up to 200,000,000 nodes per sec my money is on cm6000 .hardware is the key ,pc's are not there yet = deep blue.
