The thing is, Crafty doesn't really have its own book.  Anyone can build their
own book from a collection of games, or download the one Bob uses with his
Crafty.  Either way, there is no guarantee that it won't play badly quite often.
 I would think *any* book, either created with Crafty, downloaded from Bob's
site, or taken from Fritz/Hiarcs/etc. would do just as well (except for the
occasional bad line from a book you might build) as any other.
So, what I'm really saying is that any of the above choices will probably play
equally well with Crafty.
