Rob,

A minimum hash for the Fritz GUI is 1024K but maybe in the ini.files you can
lower it to zero.

In the Fritz Manual there is a section about the guidelines for setting proper
hash tables without the engines slowing down or the program swapping to you hard
disk.
It is 2 x processor speed x number of seconds you want the engine to think about
a move.

But make your hash table as big as possible without creating problems mentioned
above for the engine(s), although you have to remember that with very fast play
(say 1,0 of 3,0) Fritz has no use of a hughe HT, because he won't be able to
fill it up completely.
In that you can use the manual guidelines.

BTW a nice max setting for me always has been Max HT = total RAM/2 in my case
with 256 Mb I set the HT to 128 Mb. If you have 128, choose 64 and so on.

We love simple calculations over here, sir.

Good luck - have fun

Jeroen ;-}
