Well, it's a little bit tricky to classify a program as horrible, and to think people with different wishes are "sick". But we understand what you mean: Given YOUR wishes and requirements the program doesn't meet your (minimum) standards. The program is not suited to YOUR needs. One reason can be that you're a very experienced chess player looking for a program that plays super strong, has the ability to make reasonable tactical analysis, and has a database compatible with other applications. CM 2100 and CM 4000 were the first computer chess programs I owned, and I was delighted by the possibilities. Now I hardly use CM6000. I don't think it horrible, just not suited to MY needs anymore. The engine is strong yet flexible with a lot of personalities. But the database functionality is not so good, just like the overall design if you compare it with more éasy to the eye' interfaces like those from ChessBase or so. I would say the CM series is not what YOU are looking for. It's NOT horrible, but it doesn't meet YOUR specifications. Too bad you had to own the program before finding out. Another reason for free demo versions of software. Maybe a niece or nephew will be very happy with all the tutorials and the possibilities. Toys can be very good for teaching. Jeroen ;-}
