The Green List is a compilation of amateur and other currently
evolving or developmental (green) programs. I'm a great believer
in the value of server play to assess and improve a program's
performance. Publishing this list will help to reflect that
process, and perhaps provide a stimulus.
This statistical survey includes data from the date the account
appears on the list, as opposed to the statistics kept by ICC. The
exception is the ICC blitz rating itself, which is volatile enough
to reflect only recent history. I want to emphasize recent gameplay,
and also to provide for the ability to "zero" out an account when a
significant change occurs (such as a new cpu, or perhaps a different
program). In fact, since the list shows ICC accounts, a particular
program may be represented more than once.
Accounts not included are those that run multiple programs, do not
play other programs, or have other disqualifying characteristics.
Fully mature or commercial programs are, of course, not included.
Suggestions are welcome regarding changes.
Accounts inactive for a couple months will not be listed.
Explanations
R(mhz) ((rating/(log(mhz)-1)/19)-50)*2. Shows the performance
of an account, taking into consideration the cpu speed.
Scale is limited from 0-100.
WIN% wins / total games played. Can indicate the quality of
an account's opponents, when compared to the rating.
Includes games since the account joined the list (see
account info above).
GP/WK a measure of activity (since on the list). A very low
number might indicate high selectivity is being used.
TGP total games played (since on the list).
HIGH LOW high and low blitz ratings (since on the list).
ACTIVE number of days on the active list (since last inactivity).

No guarantee is given concerning the accuracy of the list. It is
presented for entertainment purposes only. Ratings can be
influenced by the selection of time-control, opponents, and machine
speed. The list is automatically generated, and errors may occur.
The list will be generated and posted approximately once per week.
