Actually, engine strength is probably its greatest asset.  Considering the SSDF
ratings and the results from the last KKUP 2, I think that the strength of CM is
well above average, even for commercial programs.  The worst humiliation I have
ever had playing chess was against CM5500. :-(

I have a copy I purchased, which sits fallow on my machine.  My favorite
commercial programs are Rebel and Hiarcs.  But, as you say, to each his own.
