crafty is real strong i'll give my impression based on games i played vs them and some games vs each other .now i'm give a rating that is only there to separate the programs and does not transfer to a real fide elo . 1.hiarcs 7.32 2600 2.cm 6000 2595 3.fritz 5.32 2594 4.rebel 10 2590 5.crafty 2585 6.m-chess 2545 on equal hardware but as you see they are not separated by much .point is they are all strong .if crafy cost you $60 there would be more people saying it was better .when hiarcs and crafty play it is a war .some times crafty wins,cant be too weak .
