Reason I ask is because I'm modifying the Fixation code to accept AE, so as to allow my engine to play online via Fixation. I'm wondering whether to copy the protocol developed by Rolf Exner for the Fixation/Amateur interface. It may be that it will work just fine, with some specific extensions for server comm. If I do it that way, then others (MacChess, SigmaChess etc) will be able easily to modify their ExaChess interface code to enable online server play. Sound reasonable? Will
