IMO there is quite a difference in the playing strength of CM 4000 and CM 6000. If I remember correctly CM 4000 has King 2.2, CM 5000 has King 2.5, CM 5500 has King 2.55 and CM 6000 has King 2.61. I think it would definitely worth the upgrade assuming a reasonable price (i.e. <$40) >I have seen that Cdromshop (http://www.cdshop.com) is taking orders for the >Chessmaster 6000 for Macintosh which is supposed to be released on November >29th.
