No, that was MS's goal, but Windows 2000 sucks down too much memory/speed to be used on "civilian" computers. I think the official deal is that Windows NT 5 (formerly Windows 2000) will be called Windows 2000 Professional, which implies to me that the next version of consumer windows will be called Windows 2000, but will be basically the same as Windows 98.
