It wasn't that much faster than a micro then, and I bet that a single 450 mhz Pentium II is faster than it is. I think Belle is supposedly slower than that, but you gotta remember that these things were made a long time ago, and the fact that you can even ask this question is a tribute to their authors and builders. I would like to see a circa 1990 Cray Blitz play, as well as a circa 1992 Deep Thought, and modern DB of course. I would love to see CilkChess at full strength and on the net as well. bruce
