Ok, I did some systematic tests tonight and my claims were definitely exagerrated. The improvement was only slight when averaged over a large number of problems (WAC+BK). I do get more WAC problems solved at 5 sec per move, but that turned out to be a few problems going from 5.something to 4.something seconds. The greater search depths must have been largely a figment of my imagination... I can't reproduce it for the life of me and am rather embarrassed about reporting such a thing. As a scientist I make a habit of being very careful when making claims in public, but apparently I am not so careful as a hobbiest. :) I am very sorry for the excitement I stirred up. Move ordering at the root (after the best move) doesn't really seem to matter very much. - Dan
