Yes, the program is much like a simplified version of Chess Genius 2. It is
missing a lot of the flexability of the 'real program', and seems to be there
(mostly), so that people can plan from the positons from Fischer's games. (Not a
bad way to work on one's technique:)). Fred Wilson's Book, 'A Picture History
Of Chess', Dover, 1981, (Sadly, out of print, it is one of the best Books of
chess photo's with player history ever written), Is an exact scan of every page.
It does certainly make the product worth owning for the pictures alone, exacept
that since it dates from back in '81, it is missing all chess history after
Karpov. But that just argues for Fred to write a new volume for this era, and
does not be-little the wonderfull contents of this book.

It is a pleasure to read on a large monitor, with good resolution, but in the
BFTC program has very limited search capeability. If you can find the book,
your in better luck. Maybe Fred has a few copies of his own book? - Try
(212)533-6381 to speak to the man himself.

The tutorial is exactly as in the book, except (if I remember correctly), the
program speaks out the problem that has to be solved & gives you a smilely face
when you complete it correctly. IMO, in this way it is even better then the
book itself, especially for kids, or those completely new to chess. Of course
for experienced chess people (anything above USCF 1300), the tutorial is just
about useless. For 'New' player's though, it is certainly a great program, the
one to get before getting the TASC tutor CD, which is outstanding for the price
(about $65), and very advanced, and for 1300 (Maybe higer on the front end?) -
2300 level).
