If Hiarcs 7.32 really had a bunch of serious holes, these would show up as lost games when the engines play each other. I am not saying that a program such as Hiarcs cannot have a bad game. Clearly it can make goofy moves (as do all chess programs). But over the long run, Hiarcs 7.32 is clearly (scientifically) demonstrated to be among the best and strongest of chess engines.
