Chessmaster 6666 also likes 48...d1Q better, yet still giving it +2.x for White,
but it could not win the ensuing endgame against Hiarcs in a short handicap
match I played yesterday (CM-White had 12 minutes, Hiarcs-Black 20 minutes on a
single PIII-550, PB off).
I will test again with longer time controls and two machines today.
