Subject: how to get information which program is better in correspondence games

I want to have an option to do programs slower by a factor that the user decide
about.

We can find by this idea if one program is earning more from time relative to
the other.

If program A slowed down by factor of 10 has the same level as program B at 5
minutes per game and program A slowed down by 5 has the same level as program B
at 1 hour per game then it is clear that B earns from time more than A and I can
suspect that B may be even better than A in correspondence games.

Of course it may be wrong because it is possible that B earns from time more
than A when we go from 5 minutes/game to 1 hour per game and earns less from
time when we go from 1 hour per game to 1000 hours per game but I guess that it
is not the case in most of the cases.

The best way to know is playing correspondence games but it is impossible to get
many games at correspondence time control so it is important to get the right
conjectures.

We cannot discover much if we play between A(not slowed down) and B in equal
hardware because
the result is going to be a clear win for A(assuming my assumptions), and
If we discover that A win more convincingly at 5 minutes/game then it may be a
result of opening books and not the result of the fact that B earns more from
time.

(In part of the cases book A is winning and in part of the cases book B is
winning and the program can find the right moves to prove it only at long time
control)
