Personally I know of no way to check to see if they're working, I just check to
see if Crafty recognises that they're there.  Maybe there's a better way to do
it, I don't know.

I just had the odd impression that people were loading up with tablebases and
starting Crafty up in Winboard and assuming that they were all working, maybe
I'm wrong, maybe they're paying more attention than that.
