I found the problem.  I downloaded a zipped file from Dann Corbit's site
(NALIMOVC.ZIP) and left the original .zip file in the directory.  That
apparently confuses Crafty.  The directory should contain ONLY the .emd files,
nothing else, then everything works fine.  Sorry for the confusion this might
have caused.

By the way, NALIMOVC.ZIP is missing krkb.nbw.emd, so beware!
