This is mainly due to the rating swings you get on ICC. It was sitting in the mid 2500s, then played a series of games against blik. It did well and went up to ~2630 Then the normal swings you get on ICC took over and PM was over 2700 for the first time! I've not done anything particularly special recently, except to fiddle with my time-management code. I've been promising to make a Windows version (it's an xboard program), but I haven't got windows at home and for the time being, I haven't got it at work. Now that Djordje has a Linux list, I will try to finally tidy up PM and release an xboard version.
