How do they get their >"intelligence"? > >By the way, does anyone remember the old "CompuChess" chess machines? > >Thanks for your insights. > >Matt A. i even owned a compuchess chess computer .while i will agree it was very very weak .i think level 5 was like 10 hrs a move and 6 was 2 or three days a move .on those levels it actually played a fair game .i was in the army at the time and a buddy of mine said he could beat any computer at that time .he lost a case of soda vs level 5 ,close game but compuwimp as i called it won .
