We started to play with Hiarcs 7, but after less than ten games the tester had to change motherboard and after that he didn't manage to play automatically any more for a long time. I asked him if he could play 100 games manually with CM6000 on K6-450, now that he couldn't play automatically, but he said no. To play both with Fritz 5.0 and Fritz 5.32 seemed pointless, so F5 was excluded. When Hiarcs 7.32 arrived it seemed much more interesting to play with that program than with Hiarcs 7. I could have published the list earlier, with only Junior 5.0 having played 100 games, but that would certainly have looked like an unfair advantage for Junior, getting the first place of the list without any competition. I could have postponed the list for 1-2 months more and included Rebel 9, MCP8 and Shredder 2.0 in order to avoid the situation with only ChessBase-programs, but I had promised a list in August, and the pressure was high to publish it.
