The problems you had IMO are entirely related to the NONAME driver of auto232 which contains some timing bugs. The specific drivers supported for Mchess, Hiarcs, Rebel, Genius etc do not have this problem. Note that when Christophe implemented auto232 in his Chess Tiger using the NONAME driver it communicates well with all programs except with Rebel. The very same timing problems Crafty had and there is nothing you can do about it. Ed
