I can't reproduce this with any version. Do you have the kpp vs k tablebase,
both sides (wtm/btm)??? ie here is the output I get:
clearing hash tables
time surplus 0.00 time limit 30.00 (3:00)
nss depth time score variation (1)
1 0.00 10.02 1. Kxd5
1-> 0.00 10.02 1. Kxd5
2 0.00 ++ 1. Kxd5!!
2 0.00 Mat14 1. Kxd5 <EGTB>
2-> 0.00 Mat14 1. Kxd5 <EGTB>
3 0.00 Mat14 1. Kxd5 <EGTB>
3-> 0.00 Mat14 1. Kxd5 <EGTB>
4 0.00 Mat14 1. Kxd5 <EGTB>
4-> 0.00 Mat14 1. Kxd5 <EGTB>
time=0.00 cpu=100% mat=1 n=9 fh=100% nps=10000
ext-> checks=0 recaps=0 pawns=0 1rep=0 thrt:0
predicted=0 nodes=9 evals=1
endgame tablebase-> probes done=7 successful=7
That happens with both 16.15 and the current version. I get -Mat13 if _I_
play Kxd5 rather than letting crafty play it. Can you either (a) provide the
log.nnn file for the test or (b) provide more information as I can't make it
fail with the above.
My best guess would be a corrupted tablebase... but that is only a wild
guess...
