When you reproduced the game did you play through the game as it was actually played? ie: inputing Hoffmann's moves using the actual time he took for each move? This in order to replicate the game with Rebel thinking on opponents time. Also, is there a way to determine how much total time Rebel lost, counting both the time it lost while thinking on three opponents clock and its own clock? This could provide us with the time handicap the Hoffman in effect received. >If Rebel >had won, the victory wouldn't count. It is unfortunate as when I logged onto the game I thought Hoffmann had a comfortable position despite the pawn down. On the other hand I was looking forward to how the game would unfold given the computer's tendancy to defend so well. But then I read about the numerous crashes and by then the game to me was as interesting as analysing a blitz game, which I find pointless. > >I count this game, but there are arguments for both sides. Assume Rebel draws the next ten games against an average rating of 2500. What is the difference then? Probably not much. > >Enrique
