Spend $500 just so I can play Winboard matches with pondering on? No thanks.

Actually, Dann, I do have 2 machines, but dedicating both of them to playing
winboard matches seems wasteful. I typically use one machine for running
Winboard matches, and another for development. When I'm not using the
development machine, it's usually running test suites, or playing games on ICC.

It's not worth tying up both machines just to play a 'ponder=on' winboard match,
especially since I have seen *NO* real evidence that the 'ponder=off' matches
produce signficantly different results.
